EMPOWER ORPHANS
PENN STATE CHAPTER
Malayaka House Trip Updates
Life Changing Memories
EO members cam back from their amazing trip from Uganda last Saturday Jan 5th. They were able to form strong and lasting bonds with the children and create incredible memories along the way. From Safari rides to dancing this is truly what Empower Orphans is all about: spreading love, empathy and joy. If you couldn't make it to this trip over winter break, don't worry there are more opportunities in the future. Just make sure you keep an eye out for important dates in terms of signing up and attend meeting to get more info!
Last Leg!
Members of EO going to Malayaka House are beyond excited to get going! They are getting their final installments of their vaccines. Tickets are booked and everything is ready to go! Keep coming back for more information and updates on take-off and initial landing!
Flight Tickets
Natasha and Sarah have booked tickets for everyone going to the Uganda trip! They plan on leaving December 27 and coming back to state college January 5th. Their hard work and passion paid off and we now have enough faculty and funding to make the trip affordable and doable. More updates to come!
What is in progress...
Both our International Relations Chairs have done a great job so far in making this trip happen. This year, we have a great turnout and have a number of people more than eager to head to Malayaka House. The trip will be from late December to early January spanning about 10 days in length.
Right now, EO is looking at cost and prices of flight tickets. The university was generous enough to give EO funds for this trip that can also apply to the faculty that is attending.
Don't worry if you cannot make it to this trip, we will be having another one in the Spring semester over the break.
